Being a Professional or having a demanding job usually more than 8 Hours a day and 5 days a week might be exhausting for a lot of people. In this fast-paced and competitive environment, a Professional must know how to manage his or her routine.

We listed down the 7 Quick Shortcuts or Hacks for a busy but goal-oriented Professional like you!

Quick Shortcuts for Professionals
  1. Don’t scramble your tasks, group them!

If a task for example needs a lot of time to get done and must be accomplished soon, prioritize it in the morning and make sure that you finished it first. Don’t to some in the morning and some later.

Grouping of tasks which is related to one another is much easier and will help you move faster. Because you’ll know the flow of every task unlike doing a marketing report and contacting suppliers after.

  1. Start with the Hardest Task and in High Priority

When you start your day by checking your inbox, you immediately put yourself in a reactive state. You’re reacting to the day, to other people’s requests, instead of setting out to get done what you know you need to get done, first.

Instead, start your morning with a tough task. Work through the hard stuff earlier on and save the mind-numbing email tasks for lunch or later in the day. But don’t waste those precious morning hours responding to other people’s requests.

  1. Set Alarm

Set alarms in your Mobile Phone, since your mobile phone is always with you. Set alarms for meetings, deadlines, calls and even break time. It will make you aware of the time left or gives you a little time to breath and enjoy a coffee.

  1. Delegate Tasks

Delegation is one of the only ways you can maximize time. And a lot of people struggle to delegate for two reasons:

If you want to be a one-person show, then, keep doing everything yourself. But if you want to scale your time and build something bigger than yourself, then you’re going to have to let go of some of that emotional attachment.

  1. Remove Clutter

Clear away clutter by removing desk and drawer items that you don’t need or haven’t used in the past several months. Do the same with furniture, decorations, equipment, and supplies.

  1. Delete Unimportant Files

Delete unnecessary and old files, folders, and emails that are taking up space on your computer. Keep a limited number of programs pinned to your task bar and desktop.

  1. Have Time to Rest and Relax

5 Days of work in a week is tough and weekends is the time to give a reward to yourself for doing a great job! Eat delicious, eat right! Remember that health is wealth so don’t overindulge after a stressful week. Visit a spa or schedule a movie night with loved ones. In this way you’ll have a quality time with the people that truly matters.
