At QNE Software PH, safety is not just a policy—it’s a priority. On August 8, 2025, we held an in-house QNE Preparedness program that combined Earthquake Safety and First Aid Training to ensure our employees are ready to respond to emergencies both at work and in their communities.

During the session, employees learned about the two main types of earthquakes—Tectonic and Volcanic—and understood the magnitude scale, from mild tremors to devastating quakes.
We discussed key earthquake hazards, including:
- Ground shaking and rupture
- Falling debris and collapsing structures
- Gas leaks and powerline hazards
- Landslides, tsunamis, dizziness, and loss of balance
Possible aftermath scenarios were also reviewed, such as power outages, communication loss, damaged roads, scarcity of basic goods, fires, and looting.

The First Aid segment focused on lifesaving techniques and quick response actions. Employees learned to:
- Always ask for consent before helping
- Use personal protective equipment to avoid contact with bloodborne pathogens
- Call for help in cases of unresponsiveness, breathing difficulty, chest discomfort, or stroke symptoms
- Follow the Find the Problem steps: check safety, assess responsiveness, breathing, injuries, and medical IDs
- Apply the ABCs of First Aid: Airway, Breathing, Circulation
